The Best Western Sands by the Sea is just a door or two up Davie Street from this Starbucks. We ate at the Bayside Lounge directly above Starbucks.
Much of Stanley Park is a sequoia forest.

We're on the Amtrak Cascades on our way out of Vancouver headed for Seattle. This was a three-car train: two coaches and a very nice new lounge/cafe car in the middle. And they had Black Butte Porter! Via Rail is the Canadian passenger rail service.
It was a beautiful day in the northwest, and it seemed like everyone was outside enjoying the sunshine.
