Thursday | Friday | Saturday | Sunday | Monday | Tuesday Tioga Pass (lounge/diner) Pacific Sands (sleeper) LARails.com Saturday and Sunday were free days to explore Seattle. Upon awakening, we found a BNSF business train at the station. One-axle trucks between each Talgo car on the Cascades. These cars are designed to lean into turns for faster speeds. The King Street Station is being renovated inside and out. Photos... The Seattle Seahawks football stadium is right next to the station (and the Mariners stadium is one door to the south). Entering Pioneer Square... A number of us visited Seattle's original "first floor" - Seattle Underground Tour. Next stop was lunch at Ivar's and a ferry ride... Back at the station for the night. It just so happened that there was a Seahawks exhibition game at the stadium not 100 yards from where our cars were parked. It was a bit surreal to be watching the game on TV and hearing the game live out the door. That's the stadium visible through the doorway.
