Even more pics courtesy of Jan Farver! We could not have asked for better weather! 70 degrees. Cool breeze when we needed it, and no breeze at all on an absolutely gorgeous evening complete with brilliant sunset and a full moon. Of course, that moon would have paled in comparison had Gregg made good on his threat to moon the girls as they drove down the back street in the Mustang convertible with that 6-foot, stuffed, white polar bear! You see, Marcia wanted to go shopping, and well, one thing led to another. But I digress... By the way, you may click on most images and see a larger and/or expanded view of the same image. Raffle prizes to the left, PhD II "Goodie Glasses" on the right: This was the first "official" herf for Stephen, who played it safe by just bringing his entire humidor! What a guy! And Rick was, well, Rick! No herf is complete without him. But it is best to keep him with a lit cigar in his hand... We had no idea that juggling was on the agenda. And torch juggling at that! Kelly provided that part of the entertainment until Jan decided he needed one of those torches to light a mombo La Gloria Cubana (actually, Jan never lit it with a torch, but he did smoke a humongous LGC!). From hence forth he was the official Dictator of PhD II. He used his new found powers to bestow honorary membership upon Gregg and Jamie in the San Francisco Cigar Society, and handed each of them a very cool SFCS pin! Of course, many were feeling little pain by late afternoon as Jan was taking instructions from Marcia in the fine art of making mojitas! Put the mint leaves and sugar in the bottom of a glass, crush, add lime juice, rum, soda water, ice... You can see where this leads! Lynn said it was the best pond water she ever had! The full moon was rather impressive; almost as impressive as the cigar conversation between (clockwise, starting with "back of head") Rick, Mark, Jim, Craig, Gary, and Gregg. Note the second picture of this group includes a "ghost" image wafting up from Jamie's Punch Grand Cru, courtesy of Marcia! The group's take on the Amish cigars: no flavor, at all. It was amazing how much smoke could create no taste sensation. But not nasty, either. It would be a great cigar for a co-ed float trip with very few smokers wherein everyone wanted to do a cigar for a few minutes! Actually, I probably shouldn't say "the group's take" as after about the 3rd report, no more were lit. This is just the first set of pictures and story; more to come as other digital cameras get unloaded or "real" pictures scanned and sent in... More pics courtesy of Jim Chandler!
