PB&J Railroad Open House postponed due to downpour
February 24, 1894*
Fosterville (AP) - In the torrential downpour, it was hard to tell if it was water or tears on James Trevorsky's face as he announced the postponement of the PB&J Railroad Open House originally scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, February 25, 1894*. Mr. Trevorsky is the Fosterville Section Manager for the PB&JRR.
"Our crews have been working their hearts out for the past several weeks hoping that the weather would cooperate," Trevorsky lamented. "But, no luck."
William "Billie" Fosterson of the Triple T Mining Company said that he was originally scheduled to travel back to Chicago a week hence, but that he would cancel that important trip to attend the postponed Open House. "This is a major event for Fosterville, and I intend to be here for it," he announced.
"I agree!" exclaimed Lynn Tracelet, owner/operator of the Princess Farmstead. "We just completed our new farm house and I'm so excited about everyone riding by to see it!"
The PB&J Railroad Open House is now scheduled for next Sunday, March 4, 1894* from 2:00pm until 4:00pm in the afternoon.
