G/7.5": Crossover's All But Done 08/23/06

Bill makes final preparations before we make the final attachment of the guides. Note the screws are not yet driven.

The guides are screwed in place. The center G-scale track section (in Bill's hand) can now be readily lifted out or placed in depending on which scale has the right of way.

Here's the G-scale center section in place. All that's left to do is cut the 7.5" rail for the g-scale flangeway. There is no flangeway for the 7.5" - the entire center g-scale track must be removed to make the track passable for 7.5" equipment. A 7.5" flangeway would have been to big a "hop" for g-scale equipment.
