Go ISPs!

by on Dec.08, 2020, under Uncategorized

Another unsung hero category from this mess is the ISPs (Internet Service Providers). Many thought everything going online could overwhelm the internet, I included. But it didn’t. In fact, the ISPs have performed well.

Carter/Baker Report on voting

by on Nov.24, 2020, under Uncategorized

In 2005, a Carter/Baker report (hand-delivered to Bush), if implemented, could have averted many recent election fiascos, including this year’s. They don’t even listen to themselves. Here’s the article.

Nuclear Energy

by on Nov.09, 2020, under Uncategorized

I tried fighting for nuclear energy in the 1970s. Basically gave up sometime in the 80s, maybe 90s. Seemed to me the amount of disinformation was just overwhelming. Still seems that way to me today. However, this PragerU 5-minute video just came out and is right on the money.

Interesting video: here. It’s a bit dry and 17 minutes long, but an excellent summary of what’s at stake.

Cancel Culture has helped in this way…

by on Oct.06, 2020, under Uncategorized

One thing this oh-so-sensitive-are-we cancel culture has done for me… I’ve canceled a lot of desires I previously had, like (but not limited to) wanting certain (used to be “Eskimo”) pies and wanting someone’s (used to be “Aunt Jemimah’s”) syrup. Having fewer choices can be liberating.

COVID and Co-Morbidities

by on Aug.30, 2020, under Uncategorized

CDC numbers: of 161,392 deaths “from” coronavirus, only 9,700 were from coronavirus only. The other 150,000+ had comorbidities with an average of 2.6 other conditions (each) contributing to death. My opinion: the healthy should have never been locked down.

Dennis Prager

by on Aug.25, 2020, under Uncategorized

Problem solved. I couldn’t figure out exactly what to say. I wasn’t sure who to say it to. Did I have to say it differently to each person or group? It was daunting.

Then I discovered Dennis Prager thanks to my son-in-law. And that was that. I don’t have to do anything except point you to him. Anything you listen to or watch I would have said or done the same had I put as much into it as he has. He’s got Fireside Chats, 5-minute videos, articles, radio talk show, etc. on all kinds of stuff concerning wisdom and life lessons. If you want to know what I think, Dennis says it but much more articulately and well-educated on the matters than I. Best wishes. You may start here:

Most Know How to Behave

by on Jun.01, 2020, under Uncategorized

Here’s to the 90%-ish of all ethnic, creed, religious, etc. groups that know how to behave themselves. Let’s not lose track that, sadly, the focus these days is on a very small minority.
