7.5: World's Smallest Yard Begins, Trestle/Bridge Opportunity
07/10/06

Started the smallest rail yard in the world (so we'll have a place to put rolling stock out of the way if need be). Plans call for a carbarn/workshop about where the spur ends.

This picture is from the gate closest to the east-side driveway - where it all began. The next few pictures advance clockwise around the completed loop. See the map on the About page.

Go right to continue with the completed inside loop. Go left to take the long loop around Matt and Tracy's house (not completed).

Overlooking the gate in the middle of the property.

A broad view of the front yard looking east.

Where the 7.5" runs along the g-scale layout.

Across the driveway.

And finally, the curve at the end of the driveway that takes one back to the gate where we started.

There's an opportunity to trestle across the settling pond in front of Matt and Tracy's house. This shot is from their driveway looking across the pond to the northeast. The trestle location is suggested by the blue lines. See the turquoise line on the About page map.

The future bridge would run along just this side of the trees from left to right.

Looking back across the pond toward Matt and Tracy's house. Again, the bridge location is suggested by the blue lines.
