Description: Hosted at Alan Hancock Community College-Santa Maria, in collaboration with Cal Poly University, Central Coast STEM Collaborative and the Central Coast Science Project, this event is focused on helping teachers effectively implement new Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) into teaching practice. Breakout sessions will include activities, projects, and/or perspectives on engaging students in learning opportunities relevant to new standards.
Schedule of the Day:
Morning and afternoon breakout sections ranging from CCSS/NGSS application to policy.
Keynote panel on STEM Student Success.
