Black Holes, Jupiter’s Lasers, and Solar Plasma; October 5th at the SLO Library 10am

Published on September 5, 2013, by

You’re invited to take an intergalactic tour of the universe in a planetarium-style star show! Everyone’s invited (parents, ask grandparents, cialis children and family members). We’ll be indoors for the star show and outside for the solar telescope viewing.

You’ll discover massive black holes, illness spinning neutron stars, quasars, blazars, magnetars, supernovae, and more with this hands-on astronomy presentation by the CCAS club president, Aurora Lipper! Listen to pulsars, explore black holes, and make the plasma in your kitchen. We’ll also set up special solar telescopes to view the sun after the presentation, so come prepared to have an amazing time! (Event is not suitable for small children.)

10am at the San Luis Obispo Library at 990 Palm Street. More...

The Central Coast Astronomical Society also happens to be holding a Stargazing Party this Saturday night (9/7/13) at the Santa Margarita Lake KOA Campground. Details.
