You may be aware of SLO Makerspace as they’ve sponsored or been involved with a number of STEM-related activities that CCSTEM has shared. But have you gotten to know SLO Makerspace itself? If not, you should.

Mission

SLO MakerSpace is a community resource dedicated to education and creativity. It is an open, collaborative machine/wood/electronics shop and craft center where one can build projects, teach and take classes, and build networks connecting with local people and resources.

Check out the SLO Makerspace About page. And be sure to read down far enough to learn about their Boardmembers. A unique group, to say the least, it’s no wonder they’re providing a shot in the arm to the Maker – and STEM – communities.
