Halloween

First stop, the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum. Anyone in costume gets in free! Then it was on to Trick or Treating in the Village of Arroyo Grande, a very popular tradition. We did our best to keep the Fosters, Reguscis, and Gibsons together. It was quite jam packed today, and hot! And last but not least, Lynn and Jamie went to Trevor's and Jen's for bedtime with their kids, dinner, and some Halloween candy wine pairing.

The Charmings: Prince, Snow, Doc, Dopey, Bashful, Grumpy, Sneezy, Sleepy, and Happy. Can you tell who's who? The following pics may help...

That's how I look when I see a Treatbot 9000, too.

The littles are always sucked in by the kids' train tables.

Get it? "Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go."

That's just too cute.

Treatbot 9000.

All seven...

We're at the Gazebo behind the Village of Arroyo Grande trying to get the family portraits for the day. This will be the last time everyone is together during Trick or Treating!

That is some mine cart.

Prince Charming and Doc (you know, the one with the glasses).

And they're off...

Can you tell he really is Bashfull.

Did we really see a lion?

Then on to Trevor's and Jen's for some Halloween candy wine pairing. Here's what we tried... York Peppermint Patty with a Rasmussen Cabernet Sauvignon. That cab went much better with Lindt chocolates. Candy Corn with Pinot Grigio, but we used a Clesi white instead, not bad. Almond Joy with a Tempranillo was suggested, but we went with a Pear Valley Aglianico instead, which was probably the best pairing of the suggestions. Mounds with Laetitia XD Champagne worked well, too. The last wasn't really a pairing with wine; rather, just a note that if you eat Candy corn with roasted peanuts it tastes just like a Payday Bar.

A little grilled jalapeno bread - that was good! And treats for Trick or Treaters. I think the doorbell rang once with a couple Treaters. We watched the World Series game. The Royals won! It's now 3-1. Royals up.
