Science After Dark: Sharks

The Central Coast STEM Collaborative has a "Science After Dark" program where once a month a presentation is made on a science topic, in the evening, usually at an adult-oriented venue. Each year's schedule, however, typically begins and ends at a kid-friendly location with a kid-focused program. Tonight, it was the Life of a Shark held at the SLO Children's Museum. Matteo and Papa Jamie attended.

Anne Marie Bergen (l) introduced tonight's presenter, Diana Barnhart (r), 2006 California Teacher of the Year.

The "teeth" are actually scales!

Everyone then had a little time to explore other areas of the Children's Museum.

They've got the coolest, and very popular, interactive topography station.
