January 26, 2013 The San Luis Obispo Model Railroad Association (SLOMRA) held a show today at the Oceano Depot. And some of us got a chance to stop by while Matt took the two older boys to the shooting range out by Cuesta. Oh, and we had lunch at the Station Grill following, and were treated to the northbound Surfliner. AJ didn't think the horn was a treat, however. Serafina, who professes to "hate trains" these days, really got into the "Can You Find" posted at the far end of the layout. Find x chickens, find the old red car, find OSH. Here's OSH: Oceano Supply House! The twins got their first serious look at some model trains today. Serafina thought this tree was pretty cool. Serafina asked, "How do they make such small people?" The lake surface, we were told, was cut out of a plastic bin top. His first speeder "ride". Fun with Amtrak hats... You could just about hear this youngster calling, "All Aboard!"
