July 4, 2012 Red, white, and blue! Red strawberries, white cream cheese, and blue berries. Red lobster, white dinner plates, and blue M&Ms. You get the idea. The younger set was off at Lake Tahoe, so it was just us ol' folks. Excellent wine selection (and this wasn't all). Sandy whipped up a sauted onion, pesto, puff pastry dish. Very good, amazingly easy. And yes, we used the pot filler to put water in the steaming pots. Lynn was into the colors. Serafina made this flower vase at Ag Camp last week. Bob was the epitome of patient. We were delayed a bit as Lynn preheated the wrong oven. These darn Wolf stoves. Those plates are looking promising, though, don't ya think?! And out they come! Steamed, not boiled. Patience rewarded. And then the decks were cleared for a rousing game of Scrabble. This was not the winning tray.
