Kitchen update.

It's been a while... We're getting close!

Looking over the island toward the wall where the refrigerator used to be. In the gap on that wall will go the range and oven. That water fixture on the wall is for filling pots on the range. The island used to house the range, no more; just a sink and a dishwasher (not shown).

The big gap on the right is where the refrigerator will go. The island counter is now where the seating will be. Another sink and another dishwasher is located at the window that looks out onto the deck and play area.

Beautiful new countertop and refurbished drawers/cabinets.

The current activity is refinishing the wood floor.

Looking toward the dining room, the main feature is the counter where the kids used to sit for eating. No more. The drawers and cupboards below facing the dining room remain the same except that the finish has been redone to match the new cabinet finishes in the kitchen. Note how much more space there is now between the island and this counter.

The large cabinet to the left is the pantry (as before).

This has been our dining room and kitchen for the last few months. We've used it to have as many as 20 people for dinner!

The old fridge was moved down into the dining area so we could keep using it during the construction.

Look at how much space there is down this "aisle" now!
